STATE COORDINATOR'S PROFILE (Abdullahi, Yusuf Baba)
Abdullahi Yusuf Baba was born on 14th August,
1964 into the family of late Alhaji Abdullahi and late Hajiya Ramatu Abdullahi.
He hails from Suleja, in Niger State. He attended the Angwar Waje Primary
school, Suleja, Niger state, before proceeding to Government Teachers College,
Doko, Niger State.
On completion of his secondary education, he gained
admission to the Federal College of Education Kotangara, Niger State, where he
obtained National Certificate of Education before proceeding to Ahmadu Bello
University Zaria, where he read physical and health Education.
In 1998, YB, as he is fondly called, honoured the clarion
call, and was deployed to the former Bendel State. He did his primary
Assignment at Okotie-Eboh Grammar School at Sapele. On completion of his
National Youth Service, he went back to the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria for
his Masters Degree Programme, and today holds a Masters Degree (M.Ed) in
Educational Psychology.
YB joined the scheme in 1998 and was posted to NYSC Niger
State Secretariat where he worked until the year 2011. While in the State, he
virtually worked in all the branches and in all committees during the
Orientation Camp.
YB is a foot soldier, who has brought great experience to be
bear. On the 17th of June, 2011, he was transferred to the
Directorate Hedaquaters Abuja, where he worked as the head of Personal Records,
a position he held until his appointment as the 13th State
Coordinator of NYSC kebbi State on 30th May, 2014.
On the 29th April, 2015, he was transferred from
Kebbi State to Kano State as the 15th State coordinator; this is
barely 3 days to the 2015 Batch “B” Orientation Course.
